Walk it or Run it with Nestlé

The big family of Nestlé Puerto Rico, Inc held the “Walk it or Run it with Nestlé” official training program for its third consecutive year.
The program’s participants are men and women 18yrs and older, that filled with energy and enthusiasm meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the official tracks were the program is held free of charge.  These are located in: San Juan, Central Park and the Rebekah Colberg Sports Club next to the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge; in Isabela, in the Francisco “Paco” Dumengue track; in Cabo Rojo, in the Rebekah Colberg track and in Guayama, in the sports track from that municipality.
Evaluations and recommendations for walkers and runners are some of the activities that the program offers. Participants are evaluated and weighed, fat percentage and body mass index are measured, with personalized monthly monitoring.
Additionally, aerobics, zumba classes, kick boxing classes and Nutrition, Health and Wellness talks are offered; in order to educate the Puerto Rican consumer to work towards a better quality of life.

A group of certified professionals leaded by José “Chewi” Candelario train and motivate all members. More than 2,100 people are currently active, with an overall achievement of 7,000 pounds lost in the past two years.
The “Walk it or Run it with Nestlé” program is used as an opportunity to meet the needs, preferences and lifestyles of our consumers, while it serves as forum to communicate our institutional philosophy known as the “High Five”, which consists of five steps that lead us to a happier and healthier life. These five steps are: Eat Healthy, Control Portions, Be Active, Check your Health and Be Happy.
It is our goal to keep working hard to provide necessary tools and educate Puerto Ricans about the importance of preventive health care, thus achieving our goal of promoting a healthy Puerto Rico.
